How old are Megalodon teeth?
Megalodon evolved from Carcharocles Subauriculatus sometime in the Miocene, and became extinct at the end of the Pliocene 2.6 million years ago. It is not alive today, and has been dead for millions of years. It has the largest teeth of any shark.
How much does a megalodon weight?
Fossils indicate that the Megalodon Shark reach-ca lengths of almost 70 feet, 20 meters long and was much wider and stockier than your typical great white shark believed to have weighed almost 100 tons. Blue Whales being slightly bigger can weigh over 100 tons.
